  • Free eye exams & glasses to local needy, with special emphasis to Kent School children.

  • Founding sponsor of Project Lighthouse (teenage activities).  Lighthouse is a collaborative effort that began in 1993 among      youth and adult leaders in the community to provide comprehensive and integrated activities, services and resources to adolescents in South King County.   Lighthouse is centered around the developmental needs of youth and is provided free of charge to all teens 13-19 years of age.  Their goal as an organization is to mobilize community resources to increase the positive options and role models for young people.  Site locations include Kent Junior High School, Sequoia Junior High School, and Cedar Heights Junior High School.  The Kent Lions Club was an founding sponsor and continues to support this project.

  • Sponsor of Camp Horizon scholarships for diabetic youth.

  • Sponsor of Camp Leo scholarships for diabetic youth.

  • Sponsor of Lions Quest & DARE programs.

  • Provide Kent Youth Scholarships.

  • Sponsor of Miss Cornucopia scholarship pageant.

  • Sponsor of several Kent Youth Sports Teams.

  • Sponsor of Boy Scout Units (for more information, see tab above).

  • Sponsor of numerous Eagle Scout Projects throughout the community (for more information, see tab above).

  • Sponsor of Boys & Girls State.

  • Sponsor of Children’s Therapy Center.

  • Provide Spinoza "Buddy Bears" to extremely sick children in area hospitals.
